How the neighborhood organizes its work. Each committee has a purpose, a place to coordinate, and — for many — an open seat waiting for a neighbor to fill it.

Lake & Sustainability Committee
Protect and enhance the health, beauty, and long-term sustainability of Lake Cherokee and surrounding green spaces.
Time commitment: 2-5 hours per month

Grants Committee
Support the Lake Cherokee Neighborhood Association's mission by identifying and pursuing grant opportunities, community funding sources, sponsorships, and charitable contributions that help fund neighborhood programs, events, preservation efforts, beautification projects, and other community initiatives.
Time commitment: 1-5 hours per month

Safety & Infrastructure Committee
Promote a safe, accessible, and well-maintained neighborhood by supporting public safety initiatives, identifying community concerns, advocating for improvements, and fostering partnerships with local government and public safety agencies.
Time commitment: 1-4 hours per month

Plan and coordinate neighborhood events and activities that bring residents together, strengthen community connections, and create memorable experiences that help make Lake Cherokee a welcoming and engaged community.

Serve as the neighborhood's liaison to the City of Orlando Historic Preservation Board (HPB) while helping preserve and promote the historic character of Lake Cherokee.
